The Bafang BBSHD or BBS02 installation requires a special wrench to install them. This tool has been custom machined out of stainless steel to make installing and tightening the inner nut and outer locknut on the BBS02 and BBSHD easy.

This wrench will let you tighten the nut and the locknut to install a Bafang BBSHD or BBS02 mid-drive motor into a standard threaded bottom bracket. Be sure to get it tight or the motor could slip. Tapping it a few times with a mallet after it is as tight as you can get it with the wrench by hand is usually about right. The lock nut is made of aluminum and doesn't need to be nearly as tight as the steel nut. If there are not enough threads to get the lock ring on all the way leave it off and put some blue Loctite on the steel nut.
